Final Fantasy VII
REMAKE

In celebration of Final Fantasy VII Remake released on April 10, 2020, Skytree in Midgar Final Fantasy VII Remake is an exhibition at the Tembo Galleria of the Tokyo Skytree Tembo Deck, spanning the floors 445 to 450, originally running from February 6 to April 22, 2020 between the hours of 8AM to 10PM. The exhibition was temporarily halted due to the coronavirus pandemic and was extended to August 31, 2020. Entry is free, however, purchase of a Skytree Entrance Ticket is required for access. A combo ticket that includes both the Tembo Deck 350 and Tembo Galleria 450 is needed to enjoy the entire exhibition.

The official website describes the exhibition as follows:

Operation Save the Night Sky - Tokyo Skytree has been taken over by the Shinra Electric Power Company. Their objective: to seize the Night Sky, a powerful materia from which the beautiful nightscape is born. If the company is not stopped, the Night Sky could be lost forever. Join forces with the anti-Shinra group AVALANCHE and take back Tokyo Skytree!

Cloud's voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai, and Mahiro Takasugi, actor and fan of the series, attended the opening day as special guest. â€‹

Every night from 7PM to midnight, the Skytree will light up in a special green reminiscent of Midgar's mako reactors, allowing residents of Tokyo to experience Midgar from afar. The tower itself is filled with Final Fantasy VII Remake decorum. The glass on the outer circumference of the building on the 4th floor is adorned with artwork panels.

On the 4th floor of Tokyo Skytree Town, where the Skytree ticket counter is located, a 1:1 scale model of Cloud's motorcycle, Hardy Daytona, is exhibited.

The escalators heading towards the Skytree were decorated with Final Fantasy VII Remake posters. The elevators leading up to Tembo Galleria also featured the game's artwork, with the elevator's interior resembling Midgar Reactor control rooms. "Those Who Fight" is played during the elevator ride.

6 - THE LIBERATION OF THE NIGHT SKY

Located at the highest point of the tower, Sorakara Point, denoted by a cactuar sticker, is an interactive attraction that houses the power of the Night Sky materia. It is a cool light up display with a small model of Midgar covered in green neon lights. There is a wheel that can be turned and it plays "Aerith’s Theme" whilst changing the model’s lighting to blue. At this point the Night Sky materia is officially saved and the nightscape is no longer in danger of fading forever.
