The first game in the SaGa series, Makai Toushi SaGa (also known as The Final Fantasy Legend in the West), was released on December 15, 1989 by Square. To celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, a special café was held at SQUARE ENIX CAFÉ from October 31 to December 4, 2020. Artwork from Tomomi Kobayashi, who was in charge of character designs and illustrations for the series for 25 years, were displayed. A sneak preview of the SaGa 30th Anniversary Box [God] was showcased ahead of its release date on December 15, 2020.

In addition to the food inspired by the SaGa series, original luncheon mats (1 of 10 designs) were gifted at random for food orders and coasters (1 of 15 designs) were gifted at random for drink orders.
