The Creatures collections were available in Japan as "blind-box" packages and came in 3 different versions: Full Color, Metallic, or Crystal (clear). Some international versions were released in "blister package" versions and were of a somewhat lesser quality than the originals.

Additionally, a limited edition "Premium Gold Version" of the Final Fantasy Creatures Volume 1 was released in 2001. Limited to only 300 sets, it is a gold repaint.

The most powerful Summon Materia in Final Fantasy VII. Arthur leads a group of thirteen knights, based on the Knights of the Round Table from the Arthurian legend. Their summon attack is called Ultimate End.

The Ultimate Weapon is one of the five Weapons created by the planet of Gaia as a defense mechanism and released from their slumber in the North Crater. Ruler of the skies, protector of the stars, the Ultima Weapon will appear and destroy any threat it perceives.

Leviathan is a Water-elemental Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. It is a serpent that summons a tidal wave to wash over opponents. Leviathan's attack, Tsunami damages all enemies. He can wash away smaller enemies, defeating them instantly.

Diabolos is a demonic Gravity-based Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. His summon attack, Dark Messenger, deals fractional damage to opponents depending on its level.

Griever is Squall's interpretation of the ultimate Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. During the final battle, Ultimecia draws Griever from Squall's mind as her own Guardian Force, bringing Squall's perceptions of the being into existence to fight the party. It's ultimate attack is Shockwave Pulsar.

Ifrit is an Eidolan from Final Fantasy IX whom the members of the summoner tribe of Madain Sari can call forth. Ifrit can be learned from a Topaz. His attack, Flames of Hell, deals fire damage to all enemies.

Dark Waltz No 3 is the third and final winged black mage manufactured by Zorn and Thorn to apprehend Princess Garnet in Final Fantasy IX. One of the elite black mages who serve Alexandria, it looks down on all creation as it sees destruction as the only purpose for its existence.

Shiva is an Ice-based aeon in Final Fantasy X who can be summoned into battle. Her fayth is a Macalanian priestess. Her Overdrive is Diamond Dust.

Ixion is a Lightning-elemental aeon in Final Fantasy X who can be summoned into battle. Ixion's Overdrive is Thor's Hammer, which charges electrical energy on the tip of the horn and fires it toward the enemy, lifting it into the air. A blast of lightning is then sent to the enemy in mid-air.

Yojimbo is a "lost" aeon in Final Fantasy X, his fayth being held in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, presumably having been stolen away from a temple by those rebelling against the pilgrimage tradition. Yojimbo acts as a sword-for-hire. His most powerful attack, Zanmato, instantly kills fiends and bosses.

Valefor is a non-elemental aerial aeon in Final Fantasy X. She is Yuna's first aeon, and her fayth is a teenage girl whose fayth statue resides in the Besaid Temple. Valefor is the only aeon to have two Overdrives, Energy Ray and Energy Blast.

Vol.1: Heretic Bahamut from Final Fantasy X (Initial release date: 2003)


Reverse Sephiroth (also known as Bizarro Sephiroth) is Sephiroth's first form in the final battle of Final Fantasy VII. It is a grotesque form of Sephiroth with multiple body parts acting independently of one another.

Odin is a Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. He appears randomly at the start of battles to use his summon attack, Zantetsuken, to instantly kill the enemies.

Sorceress Adel is a powerful sorceress in Final Fantasy VIII who once ruled Esthar and was feared the world over. The Sorceress War was fought against Adel and her nation.

Lich is one of the four guardians of Terra from Final Fantasy IX. It was created by Kuja from the crystal's memory of the Earth Guardian, whom Zidane and Quina fought at the Earth Shrine. The party fights it in Memoria.

The Behemoth is an enemy in Final Fantasy IX found in Memoria as a regular enemy. A Behemoth can also be fought in the Treno weapon shop. It is especially dangerous because it can counter most attacks with Meteor Counter.

Alexander is the most powerful eidolon in Final Fantasy IX and guards Alexandria. Five hundred years ago its crystal was divided in four fragments to ensure it would never be summoned again, due to being deemed too dangerous. One fragment was given to each of the kingdoms on Mist Continent.

Bahamut is an aeon in Final Fantasy X who can be summoned into battle. His fayth is a young boy who acts as Tidus' guide in Spira. His Overdrive is Megaflare.

Anima is an aeon from Final Fantasy X, representing darkness and death. A picture of her fayth hangs from her neck, portrayed with a glowing halo like a saint. Her Overdrive is Oblivion, which obliterates opponents with multiple strikes.

Braska's Final Aeon is an aeon in Final Fantasy X acquired by Braska when he reaches the end of his pilgrimage to Zanarkand. This creature is the culmination of Braska's summoning prowess and Jecht's own physical strength, making it a force of destruction that would topple Sin.

Slepnir is Odin's six-legged horse who appears with the Guardian Force when summoned in Final Fantasy VIII.

Heretic Bahamut is a dark aeon, antagonistic counterparts of aeons in Final Fantasy X. His Overdrive is Megaflare.

Diamond Weapon is a great beast of legend and one of five Weapons born of the Planet in Final Fantasy VII to protect it when Sephiroth calls on Meteor's power. Its signature ability is Diamond Flash.

Bahamut ZERO is the strongest of the Bahamut strains originating from Final Fantasy VII. Its signature attack is Teraflare.

Cerberus is a Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII found during the Battle of the Gardens. Its summon attack is Counter Rockets, allowing characters to cast two or three magic spells in one turn.

Gilgamesh is a Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII who replaces Odin. Similar to Odin, Gilgamesh appears randomly. As a drawback, he might waste his turn when summoned and use a useless ability called Excalipoor.

Deathguise is one of the final bosses in Final Fantasy IX, fought in the Crystal World. Deathguise is a tribute to Deathgaze from Final Fantasy VI, having a few things in common, such as their appearance as a flying, skeletal monster, their affinity with death and their name.

Seymour Natus is the second form of Seymour Guado, a maester of Yevon and leader of the Guado. In this form, he is accompanied by a mechanical, hovering creature called Mortibody to assist him. His Overdrive Requiem deals a devastating blow to all enemies.

Lady Yunalesca was the first summoner in Final Fantasy X to defeat Sin and bring forth the Calm. She is fought by the party in Zanarkand Dome.

Sin is a gargantuan whale-like beast that threatens the world of Spira. It was named by the people of Spira who believed the beast came into being as punishment for their ancestors relying on machina and becoming a hedonistic society.

Dark Dragon is a mission boss from Final Fantasy XI. It is encountered alongside Seeker in the battlefield "The Rank 2 Final Mission".

Machina Maw is Rikku's special dressphere in Final Fantasy X-2 bristling with incredible machina power. An advanced Al Bhed machina weapon, Maw resembles a large Helm-type fiend.

Neo Bahamut is the second tier Bahamut strain in Final Fantasy VII, above the basic Bahamut, and below Bahamut ZERO. Its signature attack is Gigaflare.

Ruby Weapon is one of seven Weapons the Planet in Final Fantasy VII has produced and dispatched to cleanse any threats to its continued existence.

Sapphire Weapon is one of the seven Weapons created by the Planet, and one of the five in Final Fantasy VII roused to protect the world following Meteor's summoning. It seems to be aquatic and can shoot a laser from its mouth.

Doomtrain is a poison-elemental Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII in the form of a demonic train invoking the imagery of ghost trains of folklore. Its summon ability, Runaway Train, inflicts several abnormal statuses on enemies.

Ultimecia Griever is a form of Ultimecia fought in the final battle's third stage in Final Fantasy VIII. In this stage, Ultimecia and Griever join forces when Ultimecia junctions herself unto her Guardian Force, Griever. Her ultimate attack, Great Attractor, deals powerful physical damage to the entire party.

An enigmatic man whose plots embroil the Mist Continent in war. He is known for his pompous, overblown mannerisms and theatrical rhetoric. After learning the secret to his own existence, he sets off on a maniacal pursuit to annihilate all creation. After entering Trance Kuja's power increases exponentially.

Necron is the final boss of Final Fantasy IX, appearing in the area Hill of Despair and representing death itself. Necron's ultimate goal is to reduce everything to nothingness. It states it will always exist as long as there is life in the universe.

Nemesis is a superboss in Final Fantasy X created by the old man who runs the Monster Arena in the Calm Lands. Nemesis is an Original Creation monster and a color variation of Ultima Weapon.

The Shadow Lord is the original and main antagonist of Final Fantasy XI. The bitter spirit of Raogrimm, a deceased Galka warrior, he is a large, demonic creature responsible for rallying the Beastmen in an effort to annihilate the Enlightened Races of Vana'diel. He is therefore the cause of the Crystal War.

Vegnagun is a colossal weapon in Final Fantasy X-2. It is a powerful and fearsome machina created by the city of Bevelle during the Machina War.

Phoenix is a Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. It is a flaming bird that revives fallen party members summoned via a Phoenix Pinion. Its summon ability is Rebirth Flame.

Nova Dragon is first seen in Final Fantasy IX leading an army of dragons from Memoria. It is fought is a boss before the party can enter Memoria.

Dark Waltz No 1 is a boss from Final Fantasy IX who fights the party in the Ice Cavern. It summons a Sealion in battle. After its defeat, Dark Waltz No 2 and 3 takes its place. Dark Waltz No 2 attacks the party on the airfield at Dali. It has a taunting manner and is only interested in capturing Dagger.

The Iron Giant is an enemy in Final Fantasy X found in the Thunder Plains. Though it looks to be a giant encased in armor, the Iron Giant is in fact a machine made with lost technology. With its great blade it wreaks havoc upon all within range.

The Full Throttle is Paine's special dressphere in Final Fantasy X-2 housing the soul of a legendary warrior. Alongside the Full Throttle, Paine can also control the Dextral Wing and Sinistral Wing.

Tarui (Tawrich) is fiend in Final Fantasy X-2. It is Angra Mainyu's right arm, Zarich being the left arm. Angra Mainyu is a fiend the Cactuars of Cactuar Nation sealed away long ago, which was released after the Al Bhed began their excavation in Bikanel Desert.

Ramuh is one of the six celestial Avatars. He represents the lightning element. He retains his trademark maneuver Judgement Bolt. Olduum is the name given to Ramuh's staff. His staff, so named, is also identified with an ancient culture on the same continent as Aht Urhgan.

Fafnir is a High Notorious Monster (one of the three lesser Land Kings) in Final Fantasy XI, found in the Dragon's Aery, force spawned by the item Honey Wine. It has a variety of devastating abilities shared by most monsters in the wyrm family.

The Giant Crab is an enemy in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. It dwells in the waterfall of the River Belle Path. As the name suggests, it is a crab-like monster that is significantly larger than normal crabs. It is a beast with scars and wounds from past battles, as well as several weapons sticking out from its carapace.

Safer Sephiroth is the final boss in Final Fantasy VII and Sephiroth's most powerful transformation. The one-winged angel who brings ruthless judgment to bear on all. Using the Planet to gain unimaginable power, the former hero lies in wait to lure Cloud into despair and make the Lifestream his own at last.

Floral Fallal is Yuna's special dressphere in Final Fantasy X-2 replete with unsurpassed magic power. Alongside the Floral Fallal. Yuna can also control the Right and Left Pistils.
In August 2004, Square Enix released the Final Fantasy Formation Arts Creatures Chess Set. Limited to only 200 pieces, Weighing a whopping 23kg, it does not come with any of the creatures and is intended to be used to display the Final Fantasy Creatures series.

Ifrit, a Fire-elemental summon in Final Fantasy VII who performs the attack Hellfire, a Fire attack that damages all enemies.

A magitek knight of the Gestahlian Empire. The magic with which he was artificially infused cost him his sanity. He committed a number of atrocities as the emperor's confidant, but forsook the emperor after gaining the power of the Warring Triad. He rules the world through fear. In his "god" form Kefka is a demonic angel with purple skin and a red loincloth.

Leviathan is an eidolon Final Fantasy IX whom the members of the summoner tribe of Madain Sari can call forth. Leviathan can be learned from an Aquamarine. Its attack, Tsunami, deals water-elemental damage to opponents.

The Magus Sisters is a trio of aeons summoned together in battle in Final Fantasy X: Sandy, Cindy and Mindy. In contrast to their aeon appearance, their fayths are roughly the same height and body type. Their Overdrive is Delta Attack.

Tiamat is a boss in Final Fantasy VIII, encountered in the Clocktower of Ultimecia Castle. It is arguably the strongest of Ultimecia's eight minions. Tiamat resembles Bahamut and uses a similar move. Its signature move is D-A-R-KF-LA-RE.

Exdeath's lieutenant and a real mensch. Though he repeatedly faces off against Bartz and the others, his inborn incompetence eventually gets him banished to the Rift. Noticing his rivalry with Bartz budding into bromance, he sacrifices himself to help the heroes out of a tight spot, upholding his code of truth and justice.

Phoenix is an eidolon in Final Fantasy IX whom the members of the summoner tribe of Madain Sari can call forth. Phoenix can be learned from a Phoenix Pinion. Its attack, Rebirth Flame, deals Fire damage to enemies while reviving KO'd allies.

The Final Fantasy Creatures Kai series saw the return of the "blind-box" release. However, the figures only came in one Full-Color version. In the International version, the figures were released as 5 figure sets, leaving out one of the figures released in Japan.

Tiamat is the Fiend of Wind from the original Final Fantasy, who dominates the heavens from her lofty perch. She appears atop the Flying Fortress as a multi-headed dragon.

Bahamut SIN is a form of Bahamut in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It is summoned by Kadaj to destroy the Meteorfall monument in Edge, as well as wreak havoc on the populace.

Brothers is a pair of minotaurs from Final Fantasy VIII, named Minotaur and Sacred, whom can be obtained as an earth-elemental Guardian Force. They reside in the Tomb of the Unknown King. Their summon ability is Brotherly Love.

Valefor is a non-elemental aerial aeon in Final Fantasy X. She is Yuna's first aeon, and her fayth is a teenage girl whose fayth statue resides in the Besaid Temple. Valefor is the only aeon to have two Overdrives, Energy Ray and Energy Blast.

Zalera the Death Seraph is an Esper in Final Fantasy XII. He is associated with the zodiac sign of Gemini, the Twins. His element is death, and his color sign is violet. His ultimate attack is Condemnation.

Magitek Armor is a technological device in Final Fantasy VI. The emblematic weapon of the Gestahlian Empire, this mechanical suit holds magic long lost to humanity, imbued within it by sacrificing countless espers.

Chaos is Vincent Valentine's Limit Break in Final Fantasy VII. Soul wrought of terra corrupt, quelling impurity, purging the stream to beckon forth an ultimate fate. The mighty Chaos is Omega's squire to the lofty heavens.

Bahamut is an eidolon in Final Fantasy IX whom the members of the summoner tribe of Madain Sari can call forth. Bahamut can be learned from a Garnet. Its attack, Mega Flare, deals non-elemental damage to all enemies.

Siren is a non-elemental Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. Her summon ability, Silent Voice, inflicts Silence on all opponents.

Ifrit is a Fire-elemental aeon in Final Fantasy X who can be summoned into battle. His fayth is a former member of the Crusaders whose statue resides in the Kilika Temple. His Overdrive is Hellfire.

Chaos is the antagonist and the final boss of the original Final Fantasy. He is a demonic monster who maintains a time loop. Chaos's true name is Garland, the same who was defeated by the Warriors of Light. Retreating in time, he sends copies of himself into the future to change his fate.

Shiva, also known as the Twin Sisters of Shiva, is Snow's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. The Twin Sisters, Stiria and Nix, are ice-elemental mechanical women who can transform and merge into a motorcycle.

Odin is Lightning's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. He is a lightning-elemental mechanical warrior who can transform into a horse for Lightning to ride. In Gestalt mode, Odin transforms into the horse Sleipnir.

Brynhildr is Sazh Katzroy's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. She is a Fire-elemental knight who wields a large bludgeon that also shoots projectiles. She can transform into a race car for Sazh to drive.

Alexander is Hope's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. He is a non-elemental bipedal robot who can transform into a fortress. In Gestalt Mode, Alexander becomes a fortress that arcs around the edge of the battlefield while Hope gives him orders.

Hecatoncheir is Vanille's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. He is an earth-elemental creature with multiple arms. Hecatoncheir's summon ability is Gaian Salvo. In Gestalt Mode, Hecatoncheir transforms into a Magitek Armor, quadrupedal mech with four machine gun turrets that Vanille can ride.

Bahamut is Fang's Eidolon in Final Fantasy XIII. Bahamut uses powerful non-elemental attacks. In Gestalt mode, he transforms into a flying mechanical wyvern, which Fang can ride.

In the International set, Exdeath was not released, making it the most difficult to obtain.

The Omega Weapon is a superboss in Final Fantasy VIII hidden within Ultimecia Castle. Stronger than Ultima Weapon, Omega Weapon is the strongest monster. It is considered bad luck to run into this monster. Its signature attack is Light Pillar.

Grotesque, strange, plant-life beasts with countless tentacles and gaping maws. Despite being plant life, some are able to fly. Its signature attack is Bad Breath, inflicting multiple status effects on its targets.

Bahamut Fury is a much larger golden version of Bahamut that appears in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. It uses a new attack called Exaflare, comprised of a blast from the planet's moon that's triggered by Bahamut Fury's own energy blast.

The Behemoth King is a powerful enemy in Final Fantasy XIII, found in the Archylte Steppe. When near death, Behemoth King transforms into a more powerful form by standing on two legs.

Shadow Creepers are monsters created from tainted Lifestream that appear in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. They use their claws and teeth to attack and can be summoned by Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo, the remnants of Sephiroth.

Shiva is an Ice-elemental Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. Her summon ability, Diamond Dust, is an Ice-elemental attack that damages all enemies.

Alexander is a Holy-elemental Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. Its summon ability, Holy Judgment, is a Holy-elemental attack that damages all enemies.

Living explosives, prone to destroying themselves along with their enemies with their powerful "Self-Destruct." Bombs take the rage built up by being attacked and transform it into energy. This, in turn, makes them grow, sometimes to incredible sizes.

This Bahamut-class Eidolon belongs exclusively to Dr. Arecia Al-Rashia—and, much like its owner, nearly everything about Bahamut ZERO is shrouded in mystery. Not even high-ranking Sorcery officials are privy to details about this Eidolon. All that is known about this fantastic creature is that its abilities are on an entirely different level than those of the dominion's other summoned warriors.

Omega is a superboss in the Final Fantasy XIII-2. According to the Arbiter of Time, Omega was a long-forgotten weapon of war so horrific it was sent into another dimension. Its signature attack is Wave Cannon.

Mandragora, sometimes called "Onion Children", seem to originate from the island of Elshimo. These little bipedal monsters are now common throughout the Mindartia continent. Coming in both white and black forms, these small creatures are known to provoke mischief among the five primary races.
