Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age was an RPG game released on July 29, 2017 by Square Enix. An enhanced version, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition was released on September 27, 2019. To commemorate the definitive edition’s release, a special limited time café was held at SQUARE ENIX CAFÉ from September 27 to December 13, 2019. A giant King Slime welcomed visitors into the café. Artwork blending beautiful 3D and nostalgic pixel 2D were displayed. A poster signed by the game’s various voice actors was exhibited.
Several menu items were inspired by characters exclusive to the Japan-only ‘Voice Drama’ DLCs with new scenarios providing further back stories to the game’s characters.

Adventurers’ Pancakes [¥1,220] – The brave and fated companions are now fluffy pancakes! Choose a character to ride the whipped cream and begin your journey! There are seven characters to choose from.

Luida’s Bar Potato Salad [¥730] – The specialty dish from Luida’s Bar, wild potato salad. Don’t underestimate it just because it contains only potatoes! It is an exquisite salad that would make even Erik drool.

Hendrik’s Japanese-Style Mushroom Pasta [¥920] – A Japanese-style pasta dish made with plenty of mushrooms, a favorite of the champion knight Hendrik. It is a dish full of dignity and astringency, with the flag of Heliodor planted on the pasta.

Rab’s Special Sandwich [¥820] – A special sandwich that stopped the tears of a young Princess Jade. It is stuffed with ham, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Tickington’s Tockle Garden Tapas [¥1,200] – Colorful tapas in the likeness of the Tockles’ village, Tickington.

Jasper’s Fruit Panini [¥810] – A discerning dish created by Jasper, who has no eye for fruit and bread. Enjoy the graceful harmony of fluffy panini bread, whipped cream, and fresh fruit.

Iron Maiden’s Beef Dress [¥1,120] – A dish that recreates Iron Maiden’s red dress using roast beef. Fluffy rice is trapped inside the cage under her dress.

Mark of Erdrick Deluxe Cookies [¥1,170] – Cookies created in the shape the Mark of Erdrick, providing proof of descent from the eponymous legendary hero. Each cookie is individually wrapped to boost its defensive power. There are eight cookies per box.

Teeny Sanguini Sable Cookies [¥790] – Take home sable cookies in the shape of the cute Teeny Sanguini. There are six sable cookies per box.

Slime Gummies [¥590] – Slimes have been transformed into gummy candy! A vast collection of slimes in a Slime King packaging. There are eight gummies per box.

Tockle! Tockle! Nate de Coco Drinkle! [¥850] – A yoghurt drink for all the Tockle fans out there, with plenty of nate de coco (coconut gel), topped with a white yoghurt cream.

Drink Infused with Erdrea’s Blessing [¥800] – A drink inspired by Erdrea’s vast and magnificent biome, which nurtures a lot of life. Two Slime variations (2D and 3D) have come out to play in the matcha meadow that has sprouted from the earth.

Krystalinda’s Sub-Zero Ramune Drink [¥850] – An ice ramune drink inspired by the brutally cold climate of Sniflheim, which was frozen by the witch, Krystalinda.

Erik’s Bond Between Men Drink [¥850] – Erik and the Hero shares an unbreakable bond, symbolized by the mixture of purple and blue. Recommended for those who believe in the miracles of brave men!

Veronica & Serena’s White Komorebi Soda [¥850] – A white soda reminiscent of the village of Arboria, with a scoop of lilac violet syrup inspired by the twin sisters. Its gentle taste will definitely heal you.

Rab & Jade’s Soda of Memories [¥850] – The reddish-purple soda is topped with white cream and orange sauce seals in the memories of Jade’s memories of the old man from her childhood. The taste of cassis mimics the taste of the salty tears shed by the tomboy princess.

Madame Rose’s Ice Tea [¥850] – A drink inspired by Madame Rose, the person behind the birth of the traveling performer, Sylvando. Her beautiful and noble appearance is recreated with a peach flavored ice tea.

Hendrick & Jasper’s Keepsakes [¥850] – Inspired by the icy petals found by Hendrick and Jasper in the falling snow during their shared youth. The jewel-like brilliance has been trapped in the drink. The coldness symbolizes the winter cold that the two endured.

Team Aishe’s Friendship Drink [¥850] – Inspired by the friendship between Aishe and the girls from L'Académie de Notre Maître des Médailles during the school’s Cultural Festival. A red cherry is immersed in the blue drink, symbolizing their camaraderie.

In addition to the food inspired by Dragon Quest XI S, original luncheon mats (1 of 6 designs) were gifted at random for food orders and coasters (1 of 10 designs) were gifted at random for drink orders.
